Oneida:Monor II

I stopped wondering about the purpose of my missions long ago. I still wonder about the wisdom of them as they fall apart, but not so much so before the mission. We’re going to Monor II, which is in the MidRim, in the Dragonflower Nebula. Sounds pretty exotic, right? Well it’s not. I’m standing here, looking at a fairly flat view with an insane amount of storage facilities, far as the eye can see. As it turns out, until recently, Monor II was the storage planet for the bulk of the Separatist droid army. And no, I’m not going to mention exactly how short the trip from Naboo was.

From Captain Typho's Blog: Dirty Laundry, Part 12

Where: Big Brother house, Naboo. Laundry room.

Feeling: Petty.

Listening to: My ex-fiancée, Jardena.

I frown slightly as I start separating my things from Jardena's in the laundry basket. I begin folding my clothes.

"She wasn't alone? Who was she with?" Jardena gets up to help me with the folding. "We had intel that there was another Jedi on the planet when you and Master Tachi were there."

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me," I say with a touch of exasperation. "Was I the only one in the dark?" I shake his head. "What was your mission about anyway?"

From Captain Typho's Blog: Dirty Laundry, Part 6

Where: Big Brother house, Naboo. Laundry room.

Feeling: It's a good thing Jardena put out that fire the Jawa started...

Listening to: My ex-fiancée, Jardena.

“The real question is, did anybody help anybody?” I snort.

“I made a leap of faith and decided she probably was who she said she was. I wasn’t convinced that Siri could still be at the resort, but I agreed to go along with Katt’shunch. However, I needed Dormé to stay at the starport. I didn’t trust the Ansionians to continue the ship by ship search without ‘Padmé’ in charge. I felt like such a user asking Dormé to stay there by herself, but I couldn’t think of anything else to do. I could’ve handled that better.

“I borrowed a speeder and Katt and I went out to the resort. On the way there I tried to communicate with her, to ask her how did she know I was coming with Dormé and what exactly did she know about me from Siri, but that got nowhere. You know how Yoda talks backwards? Well, all Jedi do in some fashion. Maybe they get it from him, or maybe it’s the nature of the Force, but they’re all difficult to understand. At least from my point of view."

Oneida: Handmaiden List

Yes, it's that time again, list time! Sadly there isn't much mischief for me to get into at the BB:N house. You can only put makeup on a Jawa so many times before you start to run out of lipstick. As I was sorting through the pile of clothing that Padmè left behind, I had to marvel at the amount and complexity of it all. I’d forgotten how long it took to get her all done up for royal functions. And then there was hair and makeup to consider. At least she doesn’t have to wear the white face paint and lipstick on one lip anymore. That was such a pain to deal with. While it was and probably still is hard work being a handmaiden, it was also lots of fun. So here is my list of 10 reasons its hard work being Padmè Amidala’s handmaiden.

From Captain Typho's Blog: Dirty Laundry, Part 1

Where: Big Brother house, Naboo. Laundry room.

Feeling: Like I haven't updated this journal in months!

Listening to: My ex-fiancée, Jardena.

It's been a quiet day in the Big Brother: Naboo house and since I have some downtime, I'm doing some laundry. Somehow I suckered myself into doing Jardena's laundry also. Don't ask. I find myself volunteering for all sorts of stuff when she's around.

A couple weeks ago when I first checked onto this house I wouldn't have predicted that we'd be able to do more than awkwardly avoid each other, but somehow it didn't turn out that way. Now we're falling into these suspiciously domestic roles. Part of me is going with the flow and enjoying being in this... bubble, or time warp, or whatever it is with her.

Another part of me wonders what's going to happen when we leave this house. I've tried to broach that subject with her, but our conversations tend to veer off in unexpected directions.
